Matt O'Grady - Physiotherapist

Matt joined us at the beginning of July 2014 to provide physiotherapy assessment & treatments initially just on Tuesday & Friday evenings, then he went travelling & now runs clinics when he is in the area.

Matt began his career in sport as a gym instructor and personal trainer. He then graduated from Teesside University in 2009 with a first class honours degree in Sport Therapy & began teaching in Dublin at college level for a year. Matt then returned to Teesside to complete his MSc in Physiotherapy graduating a level of distinction in 2013.

He used to work the majority of his hours in the NHS but had a passion for sport. Matt is a member of the ACPSEM & was also employed by Teesside University to look after Teesside FA Girls Football Academy and assist with other youth athlete schemes with the University. Matt came to PPPT through Trevor who he studied with at Teesside.

Matt is a very active person with a passion for the outdoors and travelling. He enjoys going to the gym, cycling and running. Camping and hill walking play a large roll in his spare time also with the odd extreme sport sneaking in now and then. He’s completed para shoot jumps, cycled the length of Ireland in three days and climbed Kilimanjaro all for charity in the past and hopes to set his eyes on Mount Blanc in the near future.
